The eight day opened with absolutely fabulous weather, by far the best of the week. We had to spend some 1.5hours at the Mir station waiting for a snow cat ride we were promised, but as the weather was good and there were half naked chicks around, we didn't really mind.
Heikki and his new best friend Undertaker ("talla laudalla EI VOI kaatua"), the longboard designed for powder.
Group shot, from left: Matti, Samuel, Heikki, Jukka, Toni and our guide Allu.
This perky-breasted fine young woman would pose in a revealing shirt all over the Mir station area. And I would follow with my camera ready.
The Drop Dog. Liza's dog would do drops of multiple meters. Unbelievable, I thought, when I witnessed it.
Liza. She was in such a good physical condition that I suspect that occasionally she climbed up the hill instead of taking the lift, just for the kicks.
Lots of people gathered up there to gasp at the view.
Not quite the looker but hey, anything goes after 9 days..
Sure woulda been nice to get the heli and ski down from there, for example..
The breast-exhibiting chich with more on for a change.
Meanwhile Jukka was taking it easy. Over an hour of waiting had passed.
More posers.
Off we go! We headed up for Prujyt at 4150m. Stopped at the barrels to drop some food off.
Now this is what I call a view -- the Caucasus mountain range. For the first time during the whole week I noticed difficulties in breathing.
Gathering spirits. We were about to do the most dangerous run over the huge glacier of Elbrus. It had been 2 days since the initial snowfall and the sun had shone constantly, so I figure the avalance risk was pretty high too. Luckily we were spared and had an amazing run.
The run took a couple of hours and lasted as far as the eye could see and more.
Liza in the steep descent on to the glacier. The little spot in the halfway of the flat is Allu, who had gone first.
Jukka and the Drop Dog following me on to the glacier.
Allu, in traversal over the flat section. Samu in the distance, making tracks for the boarders to use for easier movement, as you mustn't remove your board/skis on a glacier.
The two Elbrus summits in all their glory. Everything around was just so white that it hurt my eyes even with sunglasses on.
Having finished the flat part, we started the unbelievable descent on the steeper backside of the slope.
What a run!

Liza doing the sightseeing part where the glacier meets the valley. The icy wall was easily 15-20m high, and it was a very eerie feeling skiing next to it.

Another touching spot; a very nice turn on a steep hill with rock drops and all.
Samu going down fast, selecting the widest opening.
Heikki taking a shortcut instead.

Met this kid on the after ski in the usual bar. She'd do earial kicks and tricks like a black belt martial artist, and tell jokes in perfect English. I wonder whether she was real at all.
